Bleehh, I hate being sick. You can't go outside for a breath of fresh air or do anything like that. At least I'm not so sick I can't even get on the internet or do my homework. I'll be back up and at'em tomorrow though!

Super Bowl Sunday

Sorry I haven't posted anything lately, I haven't been inspired. Anyways, another Super Bowl Sunday has come around, and every male in the United States is going crazy. Well, not all males, but most. The whole idea of football just seems dumb to me, like it's just a bunch of giant dudes running over each other. I know its not, but that's what it feels like. If I had to root for somebody, it'd be the Saints, just because New Orleans is a cooler town than Indianapolis (see pic of day). I for one will not be watching, except for the half time show. The Who is playing, and I wouldn't wanna miss that, now would I?

Pre-Pep Rally

There's a pep rally at school tomorrow, and I'm performing with the Jazz Band! Usually we play songs while kids file in the gym (Sanford and Son Theme, Oye Como Va, The Judge, etc.) and then we have two feature songs, which, this time 'round, are Jump Jive and Wail, and September. In September, the flutes and horns don't have parts, so we get to play auxiliary percussion, and I. Play. COWBELL. It's epic. :D
We also have to play the school song, which is REALLY lame. It sucks :P
But I'm excited anyways!!!!
I have pep, yes I do, I have pep, how 'bout you?

LA Project

In Language Arts we're doing an "I-search", which is basically just an independent study project. I'm doing... *drumroll*...
THE AFTERLIFE!!!!!
W00T! It's gonna be epic. I hope it will be, at least...

Groundhog Day

Looks like we're in for an early spring! Not that uncommon in Austin, TX, but you know, if the groundhog says it, then it has to be true. Naturally. Well, either way, I'm glad it'll be spring soon, so I can frolic in the flowers and whatnot. I'm tired of this gray yuckiness. :-P

Even if all you see outside is rain, cold, and gray, here's a bit of color to brighten up your day :-)

Happy February!

Here we are, at the start of a new month. One that happens to be associated with hearts and roses and all manner of mushy love junk. Valentines Day is only one day in the month, so why celebrate it all month long? Idiotic, if I do say so myself.

Boredom/Weekends

 Boredom Strikes Again:
It seems like the only thing you'll ever hear out of a kid/teen's mouth is "I'm bored". I myself have been subject to this as much as anyone else, and personally, I'd like that to change. Too much of my time is spent doing random stuff online, like updating my website and making blogs :P. To open eyes, see the surroundings, is one thing, but to open heart, soul, and mind, seeing past the surroundings into whats really there, is a completely different thing. I think the cure to boredom is to do just that, open up to the world and "see" it for what it truly is, an infinite mass of wonder and questions. Who could be bored in the midst of all that?

Weekends:
Why do weekends have to be so short? If you sleep in one day, Your whole weekend is thrown off balance. Then you could have an obligation the next day, and all of a sudden it's time to go to school, and you haven't done any of your homework or chores or anything. 2 1/2 days, wasted.

Why not?
